So yesterday was Justin’s 8 month-day. That means he’s now been on the outside just as long as he was on the inside. Craziness!

Aside from almost being mobile, Justin is putting nonsense syllables together (da-ga, goo-bah, ga-geh, etc…), recognizes several baby signs (milk, all done and more) but doesn’t sign any himself yet, and loves to watch the neighbour’s cat. Our library group has ended for the summer, but we’re taking swimming classes at the Y and have a play group we go to regularly – Justin is a huge flirt with all the girls that we see (babies and moms!)

He’s been eating (very mushy) solids for two months now, and his favourites are applesauce, apple-apricot puree, pears and *peas* (Really! He can hardly get enough! Such a change from when we first introduced them…) He also enjoys bananas, avocados, squash, sweet potatoes, carrots and oatmeal. Yum!

We also went to the beach for the first time today (but no swimming in the ocean yet), and I’ll have a few photos from that posted during the week…

As you can see in today’s photo, Justin has figured out how to get up on all fours. He hasn’t figured out how to move yet, but it’s only a matter of time now. Hard to believe we have an almost-mobile baby… eep!

We’re traveling to PA for a wedding this weekend and will be without Internet access for most of it, so I apologize for the lack of Daily Justin photos, but promise to make up for it when we return.
